It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our colleague and friend, Larry Ressler. Larry passed away on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 at the age of 48. He was a valued member of our team and business since 1993 and will be greatly missed by his fellow colleagues and the many lives of those he touched.  On behalf of all of us at Esh Computer Center and Eagle Business Software, we send our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Ressler family.

On Wednesday, December 6th Larry and his son, Dawson, were driving when Larry indicated that he did not feel well. They pulled over to the side of the road and by the time medical help arrived at the vehicle, Larry had passed away.  The cause of Larry’s death has not yet been announced. The death was unexpected and comes as a shock to all of us.

Larry will be deeply missed here, leaving behind now the fond memories we have of him.  Many of us consider him not only a colleague but also a close friend. Larry was known for taking time for many of us and our families by listening and sharing in personal difficulties, showing interest in our children, and speaking encouragement, especially into the lives of young people. Larry always had time to connect with people and was highly regarded by his colleagues and friends.

Twenty-five years ago, Larry was hired as the very first employee at Esh Computer Center. He is one of the original designers of EBMS and has made a huge contribution to our business and team.  He was currently serving in the EBMS Customer Support Department as the Senior Accounting Consultant. This is truly a great loss to our company and to our community.

Our thoughts and prayers to the family and co-workers. Larry was always very helpful and extremely knowledgeable, with our limited computer skills, we always found his help to be on a level we could grasp. May God's gentle presence and His sustaining power be with the family!

I am shocked to hear this news. Larry was a blessing to work with and always had a great joke to share. He had the gift of teaching and explained the basics of accounting like no other.

I have good memories of weekly meetings with Larry over the course of many months in 1999/2000. As we began using EBMS Larry was such a huge help to me in getting things set up properly. I'm sure he will be missed in many ways at EshCom, by his family and all who knew him.

Larry was a great coworker! I have worked on and off with him for the last 11 years. Lately I was impressed by his faithfulness in the years that he was here with the company.
I had a meeting with him two days before his passing, and a meeting planned for today (12/12/2017), but he hadn’t confirmed it. God had other plans.
Yesterday at the funeral I was impressed with the family man that he was. I was deeply touched and challenged to be an honorable husband and father myself.

To the Ressler Family. May God be with you and grant you the grace and serenity to accept the things you cannot change!

I’ve worked with Larry off and on, since 1998, back in the DOS days. He was always a tremendous source of undocumented insights (or information I didn’t know where to find in the notebooks). While Larry never said much about his faith, I’m confident that the was “ready to go”, even though the rest of us weren’t ready to see him leave. It will take a while for me to envision EBMS without Larry!
